  • They’re back!

Graduation at Naval Academy today and the Blue Angels performed. Elliott’s school got a real treat. Part of the path was over his school. Every time they flew over, the kids threw paper airplanes in the air. Then they had to pick up the planes. That was called gym class.

Not quite. The idiots in Maryland are keeping the kids in school until June 21. A lot of schools don’t have a/c so they will send them home early. The blue angels are here every year for graduation. In September there is something at the inner harbor and the Blue Angels, Thunderbirds and another group will be here. That’s when they practice directly over the house. Last time they all were here is when they commissioned the Zumwalt sub at the harbor. Elliott said they flew over upside down one time and all the kids were cheering and yelling.

Oh what a treat. Years ago we went to Air Shows in Oshkosh, WI. Greatest memory was the Concorde.

We will have an air show again this year in Knoxville Sept. 10-11 and the Blue Angels are suppose to be here performing, They were here a few years back. We live close to the airport so they flew over our home practicing the few days before the show, and then the show it’s self. Quite a sight for sure. Look forward to seeing them again.

Just saw some video from the show. Quite a bit of precision flying--as usual.

Used a 788 for many years. It now resides with a crafty family friend.

I'm 74, retired from the commercial dimensional advertising world. (carved and routed signs).
I've always used the Roto-Zip, band saw, or other tools to make my projects. (wishing many times I had a good scroll saw). Well, I finally found an old DW-788 that the original owner said "it finally...

I use acrylic paint mixed with water to stain when I want vibrant colors. There was an article in one of the issues awhile back where a product called "Unicorn Spit" was suggested for the colors---and many people swear by it....
