  • A pattern search

I have a club member looking for a pattern called "Flight of Fancy". It is familiar but I can't remember what it was.

Rolf, not sure exactly what kind of pattern he is Looking for, I’m assuming. A fretwork patttern. I haven’t found one of those. I did find a bandsaw box with that name and a compound cut pattern by Sue Mey that was published in issue 50, Spring, 2013 of SSWC. It is a bird in a cage.

I remember that title also. Was it in the other magazine. I have that index if you don’t.

This fretwork pattern has the title "Flight of Fancy" by Robin Wirtz. Maybe it's the one.

Linda, I think that may be it. It was cut and on display at one of the first local club events that I ever attended. It was cut by a woman in her late 70's at the time. She also colorized it, She also cut several ornaments by Volker Arnold that that really influenced me to get serious in this hobby.
I am not sure the Flight of fancy patter is still available.
Where did you find the picture?
