  • A very lucky moment for me.

    The other day when I took my Intarsia piece to the frame shop to get the background printed. A local master craftsman walked in to the shop. I have known him since the early 80's and always admired his work. I had my piece sitting on the counter about which he had some very nice comments. But the best part is he told me to visit his studio to go through his cutoffs.

          I think that the best part wasn’t the wood, but the respect shown for your work by offering his materials to you. Praise from people of that level of talent is to be treasured. I did look at the link, and had no idea that contemporary wood could command those prices. (And I doubt that anyone asks if he could do any better . . . )
