Brian who did a lot of the work in the kitchen has a loss from the rain. Seems the sump pump in the house he is renovating for my nephew threw the circuit and there was 7” inches water in the basement. They just moved new cabinets and other stuff to the basement for the drywall was to be installed. Brand new furnace total loss. Cabinets were soaked about 4” up as they were on pallets. No coverage for anything even though they had insurance. Bruce has been over there all day. Estimated damages and loss $70,000+. Everything brand new failed -sump pump, electric just passed inspection, outside waterproofing, furnace had all the electrical in the bottom. Who makes something like that incase of flooding? The other brother works for the oil company who installed the furnace so maybe there is help there. What a mess!!!!
