  • I need some help

    Hi folks,
Quite some time ago there were some posts from a guy who did some fine detail work using a drill press, I believe the posts showed a ship and a chess set that were made using a drill.
Can someone tell me how to find that thread. My friend has just completed a chess set he made using a router and a drill press and he would like to see the one that was shown here, but I can't find it. I think there might also be a link to his website on here somewhere.
    TIA
    Marsha

    Marsha,
It doesn't ring a bell to me (not that that means much, hehehe). The only way I can think to try and find it would be to use the search option at the top of the page.
Perhaps Gill will come along (she seems to remember everything) and know what you're referring to.

Oh, Kevin, you've set me up for a fall! I only wish I could help Marsha because I'm intrigued by those posts now.

By the way, Kevin, I hope lots of people take time to inspect your new signature block .

I did notice the signature and have gone to visit the site.
Kevin, those patterns are awesome. I'm not yet at that stage of scrolling but will keep it in mind for future.
Can't help with the search because I was not here at that time but I am very intrigued by the process.

Sorry about that Gill, you always seem to come up with this stuff .

Thanks for noticing the little addition to my signature, it's a work in progress (I had forgotten how much work setting up a website was ).

Thanks Kevin, for trying, but no that's not the site I'm looking for. After much thought today, I think I seen it on a different forum.
              So thanks everyone for trying.

Bruce and the tech from Laguna finally caught up with each other after almost 2 weeks of phone tag. Bruce ran the sander for the tech and after checking a few things, it was determined it’s the bushing, probably. They are going to send a bushing for Bruce to replace it. If he has a problem replacing...

Bruce lets it soak in on the cardholders, takes 24 hrs. I let everything drip for a few minutes then wipe excess off. 50/50 takes longer to dry than 40/60. I usually move everything upstairs and turn the ceiling fan on to to help it soak in. This finish takes 3-4 days to dry enough to take to shows....
