When turning acrylic blanks cut the blank longer then you usually do and don't drill all the way through, then cut off the end. Drill a lit and back the bit out. I just finished two corn cob pens, one yellow corn the other purple corn, the cob was purple, and a peach pit pen. You can make pens out of many things, I have done wood, acrylic, rope, pinecones, leather, seed pods.
