Ok, how do the pictures get on the top here? and who is the person with the parrot? Is she someone from this room we talk to or just someone who is posting her picture? I don't mean to sound like a smart*ss, just curious.

Betty, shes a relatively new member, known as parrot lover. The pictures posted in the gallery end up on here to give people a quick look. Go to member galleries, and look up 'parrot lover'.

I didn't know you could block that. but that's ok, I like seeing what's new in the gallery, and the parrot lady is cute, but her enlarged photo is way too big to fit on the screen.
I like to see those pictures up there. I always check to see what new pictures are there and go see what people have done. Maybe it's because I still don't have much experience.

Back in my days of collecting antique pottery, I used to carry a a small blacklight unit to check for repairs that were invisible to the naked eye. I never knew that it could detect glue spots. That's a lot neater than using mineral spirits, or waiting until a sealer coat of shellac reveals missed...
Being a diet controlled type 2 diabetic, I check my glucose. Checked before my shot on Tuesday it was fine. Checked on Wednesday after a morning walk expecting to see less than 100 and about fainted when it read 158. Every check has been 150 or more since then. Started reading and yes, the shots can...
