  • Avitar Photos

I've noticed a lot of new avitar photos coming up lately! I really like to see these and have the opportunity to put a face to the name, and the personality here. Like meeting extended family.

I'll keep watching for more new ones... not to mention I need a new one after the Santa hat goes away. LOL.

    Take care
    Toni

    Hi Toni
I have tried half a dozen times to add my mugshot but it keeps coming up invalid url. Yet I am using the same process as I use on any other site and I am keeping well within the 80 x80 size limit and using and address url . I even went down as low as 60 x 60. It accepeted my scrollsaw picture I have there way back when I put that one in but it won't accept anything else since.

          Thanks Mike for installing that.
I don't know why it wouldn't work for me but then a lot of other things don't work on this site for me other like the icons for posting pictures or live links. .
I have a feeling that might have started after I downloaded IE7 but I'm not sure about that. It happened all around the same time.
But live links and pics are no problem because I just use the HTML tags to post those in a message but nothing would work for me with trying to install the avatar whch was so easy for me to do previously.

Way cool! Thanks guys.... big smile.

It is so very nice for me to see photos of you folks that I talk with on here. I really like those ones that have clear facial shots instead of all background.

                Thanks again!

                Take care

Look at the mug on that one

                  Hey Toni,

Well, here I am. That's me in the Avitar. I can't believe that I got it right on the first try. On the shop apron it says "Grandpa's Toy Shop". My wife made for me.

Toni-- if you read the Christmas wish list - my wish was for everyone to post their pics on their avatar-- just goes to prove-- YES there really IS a Santa Claus !!! I love my friends and family on this forum and now I can think of a face when I think of the name-- isn't it wonderful!!

                      that explains it

                      Ah so you're the cause!

I was thinking there had to be some reason for all the new avitars and great photos/mug shots of the members.

Good thing to ask for Sharon. Glad to see folks giving you what you asked.

                      Take care

ME no Christmas Elf.... just keeping my head warm here in the north!

Bah Humbug! LOL. If I did that Ian, I'd be considered an elf I'm sure. (vertically challenged)

Truth is I am not a big "Christmas" person. I have children and have shamefully bought into the commercialism of Christmas but my personal convictions take me on a different path.

I believe the holidays are a time for friends and family. Sharing and taking care of others less fortunate. I prefer the idea of "Christmas's past" where people put themselves into the presents. Hand made, or if necessary, purchased with care and thought for the individual they were giving it to.

My daughter's class is doing a "secret santa" thing this year and I simply hold back my thoughts on that. Much to her approval too I'm sure! LOL

Ah but this is a whole other topic now isn't it... and one I'm sure doesn't fit here in the avitars thread.

So, for the new pic.... maybe I'll get dressed up like some, or maybe I'll show you what I really look like when I work in the shop.... or perhaps wear my kitchen apron.... LOL, oh the possibilities!

Cool Cathy! Get photo too. I really like the ones where I can see a face, and a great smile works wonders!

                              Merry Christmas to you too!

Sharon is going to be thrilled with all these new avitars....
