  • Hackers?

Don't know if this is a problem or if anyone else has had it happen, but it's happened to me a few times and just now is most recent. When bring up the SSWC website, there is someone or something logged into my account. Just now I opened the site and noticed that where it should say "log in", it said "cogtx/log out". Has anyone else experienced this before? It's happened to me a few and they were all diffeent name. WEIRD! Don

I just googled "cogtx" and there's a whole slew of sites with "cogtx.org". Seems strange to me!

Really, I have to sign in every time. I click the "remember me" box and it doesn't remember me.

It is a good idea to never use the same username and PW combination you use on a site like this anywhere else. The reason being... a smaller site may be an easier target to hack. Hackers are not really interested in commenting on someones scroll work or deleting random bowl pictures... but what they will do is try the same username PW combination at sites they are interested in (Amazon, Bank sites etc...)

The Hegner like some other saws have a sweet spot or not so sweet spot where they may vibrate. I know they need to have a solid footing.
When we were younger (2005) we used to bring our saws to our club meeting in an old barn with wooden floors. The seasoned scrollers all had Hegners. The rest...

I assume you are talking about changing the stroke length. Looking at the manual it says you can shorten it for cutting thin wood and or metal. I have never known anyone that did that. We have several Hegner owners in our club. I am not one of them.

Has anyone replaced the eccentric on the Hegner scroll saw or made any adjustments to this part.
I bought an used Hegner m22 and it vibrates at about 3/4 speed. Maybe I'm just over thinking this problem, last year I purchased a multi cut 3/25 inch Hegner it is a single speed and it runs like a...
