So there I was under my tent sanding when I heard in the distrance jet engines. Knowing the blue angels are in Baltimore for the Sailabration of the War of 1812 & the Star Spangled Banner, I stepped from under the tent and one Blue Angel flew by upside down with 2 behind him. Right over the house!!! A few minutes later 3 more flew over. Then they were flying in the area for about 1 hour practicing. Around 3ish, I heard the engines again and before I could get the camera all 6 flew over in formation!!! Quite a site indeed! They will be practicing again tomorrow and the show is 1-4 Sat & Sun. The show will be over the Patapsco River at the spot the Star Spangled Banner was written. As the crow flies, I am about 2 miles from that. Don't think much will be getting done here tomorrow. I had the best "seat in the office" today!! Will try to get pics to post.

Hey, you're lucky to see them. I only live 60 miles from where they train in El Centro, California. I don't get over there much to see them though. They are really quite a team. We had the Air Force Thunderbirds here for our annual Air Show in March. They are really interesting to watch. We have the Air Show here in Yuma, at the Marine Air Station. Hope you can watch them over the weekend, Betty. Enjoy the ShowPERK

That is way cool. When I was stationed in AZ, we had them on the base for a while as the weather was bad where they trained in FL. They didn't make many friends as they practiced early due to the heat and so we all got awakened by them on the flight line. Also, the pilots were all provided a new convertible by local car dealers to drive while they were there.

Reply to Just playing!by BadBobI found these in an old scroll saw magazine a couple of years ago. Sorry, I can't tell you any better than that. It occurs to me that I should start documenting the source of my patterns.Today, 08:05 AM
