Hey everybody
Mike Mickleson is in the hospital. I'll try and get more details and post them in the morning. Sounds like he might have to get his boiler re-tubed. Give him a shout when you get a chance. Oily
Up date on Mike.
Mike's post-cath update: Just talked to the nurse (3:44 EST). Went well! Put in one stint, which is great news 'cause it means he won't have to have another heart surgery. She says he'll probably go home tomorrow. He's disconnected his phone for now/wants to sleep. Thanks to all for prayers & healing thoughts. Will next update in a couple of hours once I've talked to him.Last edited by oily; 06-07-2012, 08:35 PM.Tags: None

I have my first turning project coming up where I'm considering using maple burl vs. buckeye burl. I'm going for neutral colors and I think the Maple would work well, but the dark bluish? colors I'm seeing on some of the buckeye burl on ebay look intriguing as well.
Does anyone have a picture...-

by NC ScrollerHere are 5 of the 70 pieces I cut for a spiritual retreat coming this September. They are cut from 1/8" baltic birch stacked 5 high using a #1 Pegas Modified Geometry blade. They will be dipped in a 50/50 mixture of shellac and denatured alcohol.
