Something up in a tree
Thanks for nice comments!
I don't know, but maybe they caused the visitor having his breakfast of birch buds this morning. Would have been nice with a better lense.. They were actually two, but his fellow was in an impossible position for a shot from the window. When I went outside they both left before I got my camera up. - Just to keep you from wondering: Blackcock (Tetrao tetrix).

I enjoy being inside toasty and warm while looking at the snow outside. Being out in it is a different story. By the looks of it, you live in a beautiful location. Nice pictures.

Ivar, I like your visitors. It is great to watch all of the wildlife, wherever you may be. Oh, by the way, my grandad came from Norway & settled in the midwest state of Iowa. I spent most of my life there, looking at wildlife there. Now, I spend the warm winters in Arizona. The problem is, the summers. Today it was 95 degrees F. Enjoy your cabin & the life around it. Take Care

Ivar, that sure looks pretty. I spent years in the cold weather, but it is nice to only wear shorts and Crocs all day long.

I sure don't like it when gets in the mid 90's, but I don't like it when it's in the teens.

I'll take that over the blazing heat any day. I must be part eskimo as I do prefer the cold.

Some oy you will probably consider me nuts, but I really enjoy staying up in the mountains at the cabin at this time of the year. The attached pictures shows the guests I had on Sunday. The two first frames where shot through the window, while the last one was taken in a hurry before they ran away when seeing me on the stairs.. - Sorry, Santa was not around!

My Greatgrandson came from Iowa all the way to Oregon and ask to set at my scrollsaw for the very first time. I understand he still has that very first piece he cut. His Mother (my Granddaughter) says he can't wait to do it again. (I kept full control of the saw.)...

Just finished something a little different. 9 layers of 1/8" Baltic Birch, each cut with triangle patterns altered and rotated slightly each layer. It creates an optical effect that gets more mind bending the longer you look at it. All cut from the same piece plywood, and all natural. But each...You do not have permission to view this gallery.
