  • Getting Away

Evelyn and I are going to have the chance to get away soon, at least for a few days. We are heading for York, PA to visit our Son and our 4 grandchildren two of which we have not seen yet. It's gong to be nice to get away it been over a year since we been able to and we both need a break. I'll have to see if I can find a woodworking store while we're away.

There's a woodcraft in Harrisburg, PA, and our offices are near Lancaster, PA...just over the river from York!

    Stop in for a tour!

And if you're looking for figured woods, Groff & Groff is also nearby!

    Best Regards,

Have a fun filled trip and hug those grand babies way too much.

I think it's going to be a great trip we'll get to see our son, his wife and our grandkids and it looks like we get to meet Bob and some of the other folks at Fox Chapel. I sent Bob a PM so he would know when we would be in the area. I could be in real trouble if they sell the books there since they do publish cook books too and Evelyn really likes cook books. I'll let you know how the trip go and share some pictures as well.

Getting away is always nice, but spending time with your kids and grandkids is even better. Either my wife or I try to visit our kids on the Mainland once a year, but the Air fair costs are just to high this year. If we only get them to visit us.. How you two enjoy your self

            Cutting Styles
            by millwab
In preparation for a scrolling demonstration I decided to make up a piece that would show the different ways I've cut puzzles. It's 2 layers of 1/8" BB. The puzzles were cut out as tray puzzles and then glued back in so pieces wouldn't get lost as it was handled.

Update at 13 AprilIts been almost a month since my last post and my shop extension is progressing albeit slowly largely due to me nibbling at it on a regular basis rather than sticking with it and going full blast to get it finished.

            The outside
of the extension is almost finished apart...

Quartz I only bought the air filter, That same model is sold by many distributors, I see Grizzly has it and several others. I was going to build one but this thing works great. I will get a charcoal filter for it also. Great when doing Pyrography. They also had a Pfingst brand flex shaft tool I haven't...
