He might be refering to the fact that the forum activity seems to have slowed a bit. (my impression)
It is spring time and we have other distractions.

Ain't that the truth, Rolf......my "Honey-Do" list has become frighteningly long. At least with the nice weather we had in my region this weekend, I was able to tackle some of the stuff around the yard. But more evil awaits, I fear.....

I have not seen anything but respectful people here. Nobody has slammed another persons project no matter how it looked. Even when the same question gets asked many times, they get it answered. Hopefully all the nice folks are out in the shop making something cool. They better post a pic of it too. Now I am off to do the same.

I'm usually friendly - when I can keep my foot out of my mouth! - but I wouldn't count on some of those other Jim's being as nice - hehehe!

Seriously though, activity on the board has slowed of late but this often is the case. Its an ebbing and flowing thing as folks go in and out of their hobbies and life often gets in the way of play. Also quite a few scrollers are up to the neck in making stuff for summer shows and fairs and simply don't have time to post.

I suspect things will take an upturn soon. This is a great forum and absent members who are seriously interested in scrolling always seem to find a way back.

I'm sorry, I did'nt mean to emply that that the folks here are'nt friendly, i just meant some of the old timers. Mini-Syeith, and others I cant spell. I meant nothing bad about anyone. I know we use to share more patterns and show more work. i like this site very much and everyone in it. Sorry to be so confusing. dogs

New toys sometimes become tools we can use, and other times they simply are tools toward expanding our horizons and being there when an idea pops into our heads. Let us know what you try the Ortur on and how it does. I'm sincerely curious. Also....why did you choose Amazon vs the other vendors...

It was a challenge that’s for sure. I didn’t start anything until I was all finished. It’s nice to have a clean area to work in! My biggest challenge was all those pieces of scrap wood that I just might need “someday.” They burned well in my son’s woodstove. And I did get through all the patterns....

Wow - Betty, what do you charge. I have things to do and I'm in the process of cleaning my shop, just to have room to do it. My problem is that I get the work bench cleared and then start working on projects again. I really need to do the workbench last.

I ordered and received the ORTUR Laser Master 2 from Amazon, the but haven't had a chance to even get it out of the box. Too much going
on right now. I got the 20 watt version, which is supposed to be good for cutting, but I don't think I'll be doing much of that. There will be a learning curve...
