  • What a difference

I had an injection in my hip today in hope of some pain relief until the replacement surgery. With all their warnings that it take a few days to never before working and a very slim chance of it working right away.
The pain was 99% gone before I got off the table. Can't believe how good it feels to not hurt. Best it has felt in at least 4 years.
I know it ain't a fix but it sure feel good. Can't wait to get in the shop tomorrow and actually getting a days work out for a change.
May the wind at you back .....

Great news! Enjoy it as long as it lasts.

At the very least, it's a taste of what you have to look forward to once that hip is replaced.

            Oily,
You remember that I had a hip replacement last May. After 2-1/2 days I was back at home. It made me at least 3 years younger.
All the best from a friend.

Glad the shot worked for you Oily. I had 4 shots in my back a few weeks ago and they did not help at all. The Dr. said some times he just get the injection in the wrong place. I have to wait for a couple months before trying again.

                      Good News

That's good news, please don't forget that you still have a problem and overextend yourself, it'll just make it worse. Had a back shot myself two weeks ago and doesn't make much difference. The shot six months ago was only effective for about five weeks because I did too much. Stay well and take it easy.

Hi Rob - great news about the shot. Had the same done for acute lumbar pains a couple of years back and its really hard to describe just how pleasant the relief is once the drugs kick in. Take advantage of it and get out in that shop and enjoy yourself but as Jack says, don't overdue things. We're rooting for ya'!
