  • Computer assistance.

Yesterday I downloaded chrome. I played with it for a couple of hours and did not like it so I uninstalled by going to add/remove via control panel as suggested. However i also removed google toolbar while I was there. Now I cannot access anything to do with google. Google search will not even load Google.com. What do i do? I can't check my g-mail, my google calendar is not synching. Any site that has a Google app in it will not load. I know it must be something simple but I don't have a clue. I tried to download Chrome and re--install it but it won't load just continues to try and access the internet and then times out. Hellllllllp.

    I use firefox 11.0
    windows xp

    If that helps at all.

Oops.....Mike you may have to go to the control panel ( I do not know if you are running Win7 or XP or Vista ) and reset to the default internet settings and start over. Obviously you have internet connection so it is a matter of correcting the program ties to the registry. I have not run into this issue before so I will be doing some research on it. Will let you know what i find out.

Please don't go to a lot of trouble. I did a few things and now it is working again. Not sure what I did. Thank you for the response.

You might have clicked make Chrome your default browser when you installed it so you might need to reset Firefox to your default browser. Open Firefox and click on Tools and then Options when the new window opens make sure you are on the General tab and near the bottom of that window click on the Check Now button.
