On Tuesday Feb 7th at the age of 77, my Dad lost his battle with cancer. It was a long and emotional 4 days for me. He was laid to rest yesterday at the Black Hills National Cemetary for Veterans in Sturgis SD. The governor of South Dakota requested that flags be flown at half mast on Friday in honor of his work as a State Senator. My Dad was an exceptional wood worker and I learned so much from him. As kids we thought there was nothing he couldn't do. I want to thank everyone on this forum for their prayers and thoughts

Death can be a time of rejoicing if we're prepared but there is still a grieving process that most of us go through.
May God grant you the strength you'll need in the coming days, months, and years.
