When My Bride and I first started going together I said one Sunday that there was a football game on that I would like to see. Then I watched as many as I could. She said OK, she would watch it with me. Knowing nothing about the game she asked questions for the first half hour, watched the second half hour then left. Another half hour she came back and said "Isn't it over yet/" My reply was at least another 2 hours didn't get the response I hoped for. Anyway, I haven't watched a game since then except when she is busy and will be for a good while. Needless to say, I don't even know what is going on so I don't watch. Maybe I will get to see the Super Bowl except it will be the first Sunday we will be in Arizona, so who knows? Don't you all feel so sorry for me?

Hey, Chuck, WHAT IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU DO IN ARIZONA???? You are a little late, aren't you? Just kid'n. Have a nice trip.
There is a four day Square/round dance festival in Albany, Oregon the end of January that we go to and help out with. When that is over we will come home and take out the winter clothes from the RV and replace most of them with summer clothes and head south. During the winter Mesa, Az is the square/round dance capital of the world. You can dance as many as 6 or 7 different places a day. Lessons go on all the time for different levels. After two months of that we will be hitting most of the National parks in Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado. That may take us another two months. That will be at least four months with out sawdust. That is why you should feel sorry for me.

I periodically get asked if I am still making the kits. The answer is yes.
I get a private message on the forum to which I reply but suspect new people to the forum don't check for a response.
So please, if you have sent me a PM check for a response.
The Hegner like some other saws have a sweet spot or not so sweet spot where they may vibrate. I know they need to have a solid footing.
When we were younger (2005) we used to bring our saws to our club meeting in an old barn with wooden floors. The seasoned scrollers all had Hegners. The rest...
I assume you are talking about changing the stroke length. Looking at the manual it says you can shorten it for cutting thin wood and or metal. I have never known anyone that did that. We have several Hegner owners in our club. I am not one of them.
