  • Loss of a good friend

    Yesterday evening we received a call telling us a good friend has passed away about 1/2 before. She had suffered from Cancer for so many years, but would not give up smoking. About 1 1/2 months ago we received an invite to a party from her...turns out it was her idea of the wake she wanted to have. She was under Hospice care then and knew she didn't have much longer to live, so she wanted to see all her friends in one place once again. There must have been 150 people at the park that day...Amber was having a hard time that day but did her best. Two weeks ago she made her husband take her Christmas shopping...she was in wheel chair and was pretty much out of it, but gifts had to be purchased from Christmas she said. We knew she was holding on for Christmas with her two grown daughters and last night about 7:30 she went home to be with the LORD. She will be missed...please remember her in your prayers.

          Yes, Amber was always setting there in the comfy chair at all our bar-b-q's (and we have several during the year) no matter how bad she felt. Her husband and a few friends would get together and play music and she would always be setting up front singing along. In the several years we knew her, I can't remember a party or meeting that she wasn't sick. I remember the first time I saw her with grown in hair...I didn't know who she was at first. The following day after a party, she was always the first person to call, thanking us so much for the party...I know she is in so much better off a and pain free now, but she is so missed. Thanks for the kind words.

                  Seems like she will be missed but really lived while she was here. Prayers abound.

                  I WAITED patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry.
                  He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay,
                  And He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm.
                  He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God;
                  Many will see and fear
                  And will trust in the Lord.

                    What a special lady! And how comforting to be able to honor her life while she was there to enjoy the tribute. You're fortunate to have known such a person, and to have such fond memories to temper your sorrow at her death.

                            Without the complete schematic it is hard to know what is correct.
                            That said, it is a multispeed blower that obviously has a controller board. That board varies the power to the motor. By doing what you did you bypassed that. You put power across the low and high windings. If any thing connecting...

                            If he connected to red and black and the motor spun wouldn't that indicate the motor is grounded? Without connecting the white the circuit isn't complete and the motor should not spin.

                            The reason for the smoke is incorrect wiring, posible melted insulation between motor windings and motor frame.

                            You mentioned connecting power to the red & and black wire. Did you do anything with White wire? Per the lable on the motor the black wire is high the Red is low. White common...
