  • one not to miss 24 Issues of ssw for $30.00

    Hi all
I have been looking to buy the new SSW CD's from Fox Chapel Publishing for a while. I was amazed when I logged on today and found that they had reduced the price from $34.95 to $24.95 for each volume but if you type in the coupon code sswcdm it reduced it further by $20.00. So the price is $29.90 (plus Shipping rates) for 24 issues.
What a bargain. I have a few of the old issues but I am missing about 16 from the first 24 issues so it is worth it to me.
I think the offer is on until the 30/11/2011 but I do not know if the coupon code will last (this might be an error) so be quick.

Shazamm, Shinzam! That is a great deal! (However, I put in that coupon code and it said "sorry" code no good). Okay, got it figured out. The code is sswcdm and you have to buy CD vol. 1 & 2 (at least) but then, yes, it gives a $20.00 discount. That is a very very cool discount.

I sent the link to my Wife to put on my Christmas list.
This has been on my wish list for a very long time, as I am buried in hard copies.

I decided to go ahead and order it, too.
And ended up ordering 2 other of the Scrollsaw magazines, back issues, and ordered an intarsia beginner's book.

                        Alert for Canadians

I ordered mine today but when I tried to get version 1 and 2 together the shipping and handling to Canada was $29.

If I ordered version 1 cost for shipping and handling 2.38. Saved $25.

                        So I ordered both separately.

                        Good deal eh

I have all the mag but it will be so much easier to print patterns and instruction off a CD than trying to fold the pages for the scanner, or take them to Staples to print the whole page. Thanks for sharing this with us...

I wonder if this includes the Holiday issues? Doubt it...

Rodney, I will admit I'm in that group. The younger people are too busy with kids and getting a good foothold in careers to have time for hobbies. I know I didn't even start scrolling til my daughter went away to college. I've loved it ever since!

Thanks Linda. I have tried a wide (pun intended) verity of thicknesses. I cut a Mother's Day rose that was at least 1 1/2 inches thick. That's where I learned that I was doing too much pushing against the blade and not letting the blade and saw do the work. The thin strips between frets would cut through...

Hi Rodney! Nicely cut. I love the black backing especially.
Your explanation for the thin 1/4" wood makes total sense when it comes to framing. I did a detailed Iwo Jima on 1/4" as well as 1/8" thick, both framed. The feedback I got from a 60-90 year old group of guys was the...
