    Sometimes you need a vintage picture to create a portrait style pattern and just can't quite find what you are looking for.

    Then there is the copyright issue, can I use this picture, specially if I want to sell the pattern.

    Well look no more.....this sounds like a cheesy TV commercial......
    You now have access to hundreds of copyright free images.

    DON'T USE MDF for that stick with real lumber. If the roof ever developed a leak that MDF would be the first thing ruined....

    And Wayne thanks for you advise which is quite good. After a good look at my men , as you said, with the hat I will work on the ears and his big mustache . I will try to rounded those parts as I did with my heron.
    But in person he is more 3D than on the photo....
