I finally finished this project & it was something new for me. I did use the scrollsaw for a little bit of the cutting out around the head of the Moose. I couldn't do it right side up, so, I drilled holes for a method of dot to dot cutting from the bottom side. I had to turn it upside down, so it would fit under the arm. I used my Dremel Stylus rotary tool for rest of it. It did run the battery down fast, so I switched to my roto-Zip flex shaft. I have a question for anyone who might have done this type of work before. What can I use, other than sanding, to polish the inner parts & the picture of the moose & trees? I haven't used a polish with my Dremel tool before & I think there is some polish that I could use on it. Any thoughts or ideas will be appreciated. Thanks

You can use a jewelers rouge. I do beleive there is a rock polish as well which may be less expensive. You might try bon ami a cleansing agent less abrasive than comet.

MICK --- The Moose Antler was a gift from a friend. He comes from northern Idaho & has a few of them on hand. He likes to give me things like that to see what I come up with. He always tells me he doesn't want it back either. He did give me some wood a couple of times & I did a picture for him & then he started telling me not to give it back to him. It's fun, & keeps me out of the bars, HA. Thanks again.

Nice job Perk! I'm not sure if how it would work on antler but Hut wax for polishing pens works pretty nice. If you have felt pads for the Dremel you could rub it in with that to get the heat that is needed for it to cure correctly.
