While doing research for a member on google I ran across this article. You may find it rather interesting to read. I found the article to be rather inspiring considering it was probably written back in the 40's. It does not really say that I can find.

That is some very interesting reading, Mike. I remember my parents had one of the Moon shelf & stairway pieces on our wall. I think it was all made from 1/4 in. ply. with copper wire for railings on the stairs & shelves. I rough sketched one & cut it with the star & shelves, but, didn't have the stairs on it. I thought they were very interesting pieces, even when I was a youngster. Thanks for letting us read that.
