  • Digging up old threads

I figured I'd ask the membership before replying to threads older than 6 months.

I've seen a few other forums, not woodworking related, where new members are scorned for posting to old threads, many pages deep in any board.

Anyway, I thought I would be polite, and ask first, if digging up old threads and posting to them , is kosher or not.

Go for it! In my opinion, that just furthers the knowledge base of the forum!

      I'm with Bob.

Some people have nothing better to do than complain about everything. Feel free to bump an old post to the front of the line. We all might learn something new.

Well, It just might be right neighborly of you to kinda mention your post is added on to an archived thread.

Ya see, some of use long winded types, we just might have learned something new since the old thread was active, and we may just be a bit embarrassed by the pontificating we did back then. While we maybe weren't WRONG, we could have been a bit lacking in being correct.

So if you warn me, Er I mean "us", then "we" can go back and be sure "we" don't contradict a previous post.

There are times when we old timers...not an age thing.... do not recall where we read something. It will be great to refresh our memories.

BladeDancer I think you can tell we're a pretty laid back bunch, and bringing up old threads should never be any problem, after all this site is for learning and sharing. And as far as airing out the dirty laundry, Carl, I'm afraid to ask..........
