My question is to "Old " Moonie-- being a Texas girl-- giggle- I want to know -- What are shoes ?-- inquiring minds want to know---
Sharon -- and as old as dirt here....lol
Baloney! You can't keep a "Texas Girl" "pregnant and in the kitchen." It is too darn hard to catch 'em. Probably the reason she (Sharon) never heard of shoes is that she always wears cowboy boots. Texas women don't need any rescue missions either. They are about as "emancipated" as you can get, bless their pea-pickin hearts. In case you haven't noticed "Texas Girl", I am also from Texas (native, I might add) and boots are still favored in this area. And Gill, "this area" is not, repeat not, the "Deep South". I lived in Alabama for awhile. That is the "Deep South."
Moon
I stand corrected, Moon; I simply looked at a map and it struck me that Texas was pretty far down south. So when you guys refer to the 'Deep South', which states beside Alabama would you mean?
Hmmmm... not so sure you're right about Southern women being liberated though. When I saw 'Steel Magnolias' and 'Fried Green Tomatoes At The Whistle Stop Cafe' I was struck by how them good ole gals were expected to raise a family and be supportive of hubby as their top priorities. But perhaps I'm getting a distorted view by taking too much notice of Hollywood.
Sorry for taking the thread so far off topic, Toni .
Gill
There is no opinion, however absurd, which men will not readily embrace as soon as they can be brought to the conviction that it is readily adopted.
Are you all sure? I mean, I could re-merge the threads later if we decided that we didn't want them split. I really want to make everyone happy. I'm not an ogre (or ADMIN from the Flame Warriors site). I really want to get everyone's opinion.
Bob (who can be terrifyingly insecure at times when confronted by a terrifyingly assertive female <grin>)
Ahhhhh Do you really think I should. I don't want to make a mistake. What if I make the wrong decision....I think I'll decide not to make a decision <GRIN>

Thank you Linda. I was able to get onto her site, but unfortunately could not find apattern that will work for my customer. She is looking for a wedding cake topper with a bride and a golfer on it.
Rolf, that kind of input you have given regarding the machine as well as software is just the insider info we outsiders need from someone we trust. Thank you so much for both the machine and software side.
I hadn't even thought about the comparison to shank bits to the power--but I...
