Something new coming to the internet!
Fred
There's a fine line between woodworking and insanity, I'm just not sure which side of the line I'm on!Tags: None -
Woody- I checked out your link and then I got the bright idea about a show for scrollers so I wrote a e mail and I got a letter back saying they are giving it serious thought -- I forwarded the e mail to Bob since I don't know how to post on here from that but wouldn't that be the neatested thing to have a show on our craft-- just had to share -
Sharon -
I'll just cut and paste the e-mail here:
Sharon,
Thank you for your thoughts. I will make sure your thoughts are incorporated in our future plans and when we talk to manufacturers I will make sure they know about your suggestion. I also was told about a scrollsaw video or series the other day and we are going to pursue the broadcasting license for it.
Thanks for your comments and interest in The Woodworking Channel
Best Regards,
Reed Smith

Please add me to the list of woodworkers who would like to take a sneak peek of your new site when opened-- I am into fretwork- especially the victorian- and scrolling portrates and sceneics .. I have interest in learning in most aspects of creative woodworking-
May I suggest that you consider doing some tips and things for us wood workers that are in wheel chairs- there are a lot of us out there and not many sites accnoegle that we exist. We love our scroll saws and all the tools others do - we just go about it a little different--

I subscribed to it but it will be interesting to see if it will be of any value to the ones of us that are on dial up service. Even small movie clips take ages to load just a little bit at a time so I can't imagine sitting for hours at a time to watch it load up in bits and pieces.
Hopefully they will have some sort of a system to overcome that.
I have accellerated access on my computer and that makes it about 5 times faster than normal but the only way to acheive that is in sacrificing picture quality. The faster I set the speed , the worse the picture quality is.
I just click it off if I want to see a clear picture but then it is back to regular snail speed.

Bill,
That accelerator won't help with downloading movies either; it doesn't increase your download speed. As you said, it just drops the resolution of photos so they load faster...

Reply to Park the scroll saw for awhileby will8989So many are selling them here it’s not worth us making them. However, we do very well with our dough boards. Nobody else makes them. We have an order for a dough board and matching pepper grinder. The walnut board I could make into a beautiful basket or two and sell for lots more than they are getting...

Reply to Forum formatby handibunnyJim, if you scroll down to the bottom of the page, on the left you’ll find some style options that change the font size and color. I’ve been using Defalt vB5 Style, and it seems to be about the best for my iPad, but I’m still experimenting with my iMac.
