    Message pop ups

For those who would like to be notified when a private message is received you can set an option under the "User Control Panel" User CP
In the Messaging and Notification section, you can click on

    Private Messaging

[x] Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages

[x] Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up

This will notify you by email and give you a message received pop up.

I understand that not everyone wants messages, and not everyone replies to messages, but you can't reply, if you don't know someone is calling.

So that little box just to the right of what thread I am currently reading saying Private Messages: Unread 0, Total 0. Isn't that an indicator or is there too much sawdust in your eyes?

Or is that due to some setting I chose when I first activated my acct?

        To both of you.

I have that little box to the right.
I forget to look at it most of the time. I just scroll down too fast and than I can't see it anymore. Please don't be too hard on this senior.
That was the reason I apologized.

Without the complete schematic it is hard to know what is correct.
That said, it is a multispeed blower that obviously has a controller board. That board varies the power to the motor. By doing what you did you bypassed that. You put power across the low and high windings. If any thing connecting...

If he connected to red and black and the motor spun wouldn't that indicate the motor is grounded? Without connecting the white the circuit isn't complete and the motor should not spin.

The reason for the smoke is incorrect wiring, posible melted insulation between motor windings and motor frame.

You mentioned connecting power to the red & and black wire. Did you do anything with White wire? Per the lable on the motor the black wire is high the Red is low. White common...
