  • Wood Show

Anyone one in here going to the wood show at Indianapolis Jan 30 - Feb. 1 at the fair grounds. It has been a good show in the past.

That one's usually better than the Chicago show. I'll mark my calender!

There's a fine line between woodworking and insanity, I'm just not sure which side of the line I'm on!

Let me know how it is.The WWshow is coming to Milwaukee the week after yours, so I'll know if its better or worse that last years.Im in the market for a disc sander, minimally 12 inch, but open to a belt/disc combo machine if the price is right.

The Chicago show had next to nothing for scrollers. Aimed more at general woodworking.

We usually go to the Indianapolis show and then the St. Louis show later. This year the shows are only one week apart so we will not be going to Indy.

Hope to see folks at the St. Louis show.

I'm going to try to get down there for at least one day. Would love to set a schedule for a face to face with forum members in attendance--perhaps lunch or dinner.

Post here if anyone is interested in a get together.
When looking at the clock at work--the correct time is:
Too early to leave, too late to call in.

Just looking at The New Scroll Saw Handbook by Patrick Spielman and found a picture of this saw on page 47. Make is unknown and photo was submitted by a Henry Aldinger. Is submitted as an early electric scroll saw.

A new member ralph123 left me a private message. Asking if I still provided kits for the Wooden gear clock in the Summer 2013 issue if SSWWC.
Ralph I sent you a private message.

Yes I do still make the kits.

Talked to him yesterday after he was coherent. Very fortunately, it was dc current. He said ac current and would have ended differently. And it wasn’t a house. It was a converter box in a marina located on a deck cut into a 20’ high steep bank. They had to climb a ladder to get to it. And they were...
