I got into the habit of drinking lots of water a few years back. I have coffee in the morning and then it’s water until dinner, Sometimes I drink herb iced tea. Since I started that, my leg cramps have totally gone away. With my diabetes, I can’t stand the heat. I don’t know how you can stand...

After having made the dehydration mistake several years ago, I find I don't last as long in the heat as I used to be able to. Thank you for the reminder during this extra warm time of the year. Glad you are doing better!

I was told by my dr that ice tea will not hydrate you because it is decaffented, you need that caffeine or better just water. Getting old is a bitch Rolf, but better than the alternative dead, Glad to see everything worked out, Rj...

Good to know that everything turned out all right Rolf, I keep reminding my son about drinking water. He works at a campground and mows a few yards in the summer. We've had a lot of hot and humid days recently and I keep reminding about drinking water. But at the age of 17 all I hear is "I know...

Rolf, take care of yourself. Know your body and the how the aging process changes/limits our tolerance to heat and or lack of hydration.

When I get dehydrated, I am susceptible to leg and hand cramps but only several hours past the event. Even when I drink fair amount of water to compensate....

Glad you are ok, Rolf. Hot and humid here too. A/C was serviced Monday. Worked for a day and out again. I think we will buy a portable air conditioner to cool the bedroom.

Glad that you are well Rolf. I spent 9 years in the Army and a good majority of that in areas that were very warm and or warm and humid and we were always told that in those kind of weather conditions that if you did not have to pee you were not drinking enough water.

I'll bet that gave June a good scare! Thanks for the warning. We're amazed at how much more water we need in this weather, and how much more quickly we run out of steam. It's hard to drink when you're not really thirsty--maybe that's why there are hydration apps!

    Glad you're OK!!!...

Just a warning to all of us about hydration or should I say dehydration. I spent Thursday night and half of Friday in the ER. My wife's son was visiting from NC so we decided to go see all of the changes in their old neighborhood. Hurricane Sandy caused severe flooding in it. Their 200+ year old house...
