I just used pocket holes so I wouldn't have any screw heads showing. The bottom has storage drawers so I just screwed the box into some support 2x4's going across the headboard and footboard. I made sure to put support legs under the drawer compartments too. Didn't want it crashing to the floor in...

That's awesome Keith! Good job. What kind of connecting hardware did you use to attach the bed rails to the head & foot boards?

I don't have a jointer, but I've learned how to work around that. The key is to have a decent table saw and the best rip blade you can afford. There are...

Nice job! Cherry is such a warm wood, one of my favorites. It is tall. is this your own design? It is always a joy to make something that makes our wives happy!

We were surprised when we decided to replace our mattress, they are all so tall. Our dog comes up on the...

This is a bed I made for my wife. It's made of cherry and has six storage drawers. I wish I had a jointer to get the boards a little tighter together. It's REALLY high because my wife wanted the box spring and mattress put on the top. Sleeping that high takes some getting used to. Most importantly,...

Sorry, didn't see the question. I use it for 1/8, 3/16, and 1/4 inch blades. With the 1/8" blade, it's, almost, like using a scroll saw with a #12 blade. With the 3/16 & 1/4 inch blades, you will be surprised at the curves & corners you can make. Be sure to watch Alex Snodgrass' video...

I put Carter bearings on my Delta many years ago. The stabilizer is on my list especially if I decide to do bandsaw boxes.
