I've noticed when I make a post - either a new thread or a quick reply - the post doesn't appear right away. Then I noticed a message box that says the post will be displayed presently if the moderators moderate every thread. Does every post have to be approved by a mod before being displayed?

Just the first 5 posts by a new member. I try to keep up on them, but it's sometimes a few minutes before I can approve them!

In the Welcome members forum and this forum, new posts and replies display immediately. But this is not the case in the Tools and Blades or Off Topic forums. Very curious.

OK, that makes sense. I guess it cuts down on the spammers who register just to post ads for Viagra or mortgage brokers!
