database error?

did anything happen last night with the website around 9, or 10pm mountain time ? I was posting a few messages then all of a sudden it gave me this database error for an hour or so and finally I said forget it and try tomorrow .
is this just me cause ive had this problem a few times .

ok Rob it took a while but it did it again and here is the message I get from it


There seems to have been a problem with the database.

Interesting. I never received the email. Thanks for capturing the error. I'll have to do some research. Is this an everytime error or intermittent?

well this was the first time it happened since the last time I posted about it ,but when it happens it will usually do it about 3 or 4 times at once then tells me that it emails you guys , and sometimes it will do it more and it will happen anywhere on the site , so its not one certain page or anything .
as well even if I restart my computer and clear the temp files and cookies it wont make any difference with ,cause its happened right afterwards as well .
I thought it could just have been my connection or even if the site was busy, but im not sure . hope this helps a lil

I believe the issue resides at our server. Apparently they have been doing some upgrades and the database lost connection to the website causing the error. Please keep me posted if this occurs again.

happened again for about an hour and same error message saying that it emailed the tech staff . it was about noon mst ,was just going through the forum and pm'ing a friend then it stopped and I hit refresh and it gave the message then after about an hour I gave up trying to get back to the forums ,now I did notice that I could get to the main page of the site and almost everything else except for the forums but I could get into the gallerys without to much problem , was a little slow but it got there ,just nothing on the forums at all

Thanks for your continued research on the subject. I also experienced the error today as did the rest of the members. The same error was also witnessed on the Wood Carving Illustrated site. Essentially, the error was with our web hosting company. They were able to identify the problem and fix it. However, if you receive the error again. Please let me know. Once again, thank you for staying on top of the issue. It is greatly appreciated!

ok well at least it wasnt only me this time lol hopefully since they found it and fixed it that should take care of it but by all means if it happens again ill let ya know lol
