  • Why my thread was edited?

Just wondering why my thread was edited when I typed mikesworkshop site in it, other members type all kinds of websites in their threads. I can understand if I was typing my own website and using this forum for advertising. I am not Mike, I am Mick. Just thought I would rant a little bit. Mick

    Mick,
I PMed you asking you to edit it...waited a while, then edited it. By the new Bill of Rights, we're trying to avoid direct references to retail websites...it's just as easy to tell people to PM you for the address.

We've just gotten too many complaints that retailers are using the forum for advertising...so this is how we decided to handle it.

Here's a direct link to the Bill of Rights.

Feel free to PM me with any questions.

    Bob

Questions are answered freely around here and no one has any tricks they don't freely share.

Welcome! John! From Reno NV. A long time 788 user (I'm94) I'm sure you will get many happy hours from the repairs you placed on the machine.

      Hello from Central Florida

I'm 74, retired from the commercial dimensional advertising world. (carved and routed signs).
I've always used the Roto-Zip, band saw, or other tools to make my projects. (wishing many times I had a good scroll saw). Well, I finally found an old DW-788 that the original owner said "it finally...

I use acrylic paint mixed with water to stain when I want vibrant colors. There was an article in one of the issues awhile back where a product called "Unicorn Spit" was suggested for the colors---and many people swear by it....

Oh my gosh Betty....Your son is fortunate to be alive. How badly stung was he by the hornets? Electrical shock is crazy dangerous. Wow.
