  • Junior vs Senior vs Guest vs...

I'm curious about the categories of junior member versus senior member versus moderator, etc. What do they mean?

    Dan--
Once upon a time ago I asked the same question. You seem to become a "senior" member after you have posted a certain number of comments/replys. The more you participate, the more senior you become. "Moderators" , as I understand it, are the bosses who watch us all to make us maintain a sense of decorum. Age, experience, and time in the forum have nothing to do with it.

Now that you got that answer ask about the colored dot next to your name.

That little dot by my name

Let's see if I can remember...
The green dot means I'm online.
The blue (or is it purple?) dot means I'm offline.
The black dot means I'm out of line.
The red dot means I'm Rudolph, leading the reindeer line.
The green dot means I should get back in line.
The yellow dot means I've crossed the line.
The orange dot means sign here on the dotted line.
The polka dot means I'm part of the dance line (a one and a two...).
The striped dot means I've gotten way too silly and it's time to make a beeline to bed.
        Good Night,
        Dan

            Dan--
That is a great synopsis. However, you have "green dot" in there twice. Could happen I guess. To be honest, I did not know what the "dot system" was for. Surely a person knows when they are "on-line". Mebbe not.

I think its more for others to be able to tell if you are online or not...when you are inside a thread, you can't see the "who's online" section"...

To be honest, the forum has more bells and whistles than I have been able to figure out yet <grin>.

Hey! There's 3 green lights. We must be on line. Whoopee! But it tells us that at the bottom of the page doesn't it?
