    My wife's Chiropodist asked if I could make two small earing boxes. I adopted the idea from Carole's book
    I used some padouk I had left over ( a big mistake ) as everyone knows this wood produces a lot of dust
    which stains any adjacent light wood. I took great care but it still stained...

    I ran out of my home made pen blanks and have to make some more. This requires I cut Spectraply - cross cut and ripped at a 4-degree angle. Which, leaves me with some "scrap" that has one side cut at 4°. So, I glued the scraps into a board. Planed it to 5/8th inch. I glued some paper to it...
    I cut these strip to use in some of my pen blanks.

They are for a Lutheran organization that will be holding their national convention in Winston-Salem NC next month. They are cut out of 1/8th Baltic Birch and I am spraying with rattle can shellac.
